# @remotion/media

This package provides the recommended [`<Video>`](/docs/media/video) and [`<Audio>`](/docs/media/audio) tags for embedding video and audio in Remotion.

Use these tags for new projects. The media tags from the [`remotion`](/docs/remotion) package remain available for direct use and fallback-specific behavior.

## ProRes

Apple ProRes decoding is not enabled by default.
See [Embedding ProRes](/docs/videos/prores) to enable the decoder.
